It was lovely to watch and enjoy the company of these two pheasants which came to our garden a year or two ago. The male brought his hen one day and courted her here over a period of time. After their courtship, she would settle down near the side of the pond and he’d sit near her, quietly. And each day, when she ate, he waited and watched over her, only eating after she’d finished. It made me think of how simple and natural their lives are in comparison to our own and how unnecessarily complicated we often make things for ourselves and each other.
How natural is your life?
How have you simplified your life?
How do you care for yourself and other people?
I recently found a wonderful nature blog called Serenity Spell which I’ve put in my blogroll. Another one that is similarly fabulous is – The Free Quark – Bay Area Nature Photos. I hope you’ll visit both.
Have you visited my Blogroll? If you go there and scroll down past the first couple of paragraphs you’ll see what looks like an image with some words on it. Each word is a clickable link of which all but the last two go to separate parts of my blogroll. The two blogs above are on the WILDLIFE page. Please visit it and read the short reviews I’ve given of these and the other blogs there, also visit the other blogroll pages. The penultimate link on my blogroll is to FREE RICE, an amazing site which helps feed hungry people simply by you playing a quiz to increase your knowledge of various subjects. It’s free for you and helps them. Do try it.
Before I end this post, did you know that the photos and artwork that I am putting in my posts are here so that you can use them in your own blog posts? Click on this to find out how!
And if you’re blogging on WordPress.com you’re also welcome to reblog this and any of my other posts from Arty Old Bird blog. Click the link to find out how.
Oh – and there are some sharing buttons here too (on the home page).
